Asian International School combines Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary School into one harmonious whole. It takes children from the playgroup age of 2 ½ and sees them right through their school life until they reach the University Entrance classes. From the start they are prepared, academically, to enter the University of their choice anywhere in the world.
AIS has a history of 29 years and is located in the heart of Colombo with its own attractive buildings and swimming pool. It is amongst the top three international schools in Colombo with the highest number of students gaining all As at the Edexcel Examinations. The main school is located in Thalakotuwa Gardens, Colombo 5 and AIS has a Montessori branch at Battaramulla. AIS recently produced the hit musical, “Rock of Ages” at the Lionel Wendt Theatre. The show was directed by Anushka Senanayake with music direction by Natasha Senanayake and choreography by Umeshi Rajendra. The show was received by Colombo audiences with much enthusiasm and was definitely a hit!!!
Elementary / Montessori School Sports Meet 2019 was held at the Havelocks Sports Club on the 22/2/19. The Honorable Chief Guests at the function were Mr. & Mrs. Rangana Herath, former Sri Lankan Cricketer and former test Captain of Sri Lanka.
The Graduation Ceremony of the outgoing class of 2018 was at the Cinnamon Lakeside on the 8th of July 2018. [read more]

Vidhaan Chand was nominated by Asian International School to apply for the HKYFG Leadership Institute’s Summer School Scholarship. Not only was Vidhaan selected but he also won a full scholarship to the value of HKD 7000. The programme he will be attending focuses on enhancing economic knowledge as well as improving leadership qualities.
Dulanya Cooray was the winner of the University of Melbourne, Trinity College essay writing competition. Her prize is a one week scholarship to the Trinity Young Leaders program at the University of Melbourne. Dulanya is pictured with other finalists Joshua Weerasingham, Kaushik Niranjankumar and Vidhaan Chand.
